Portal Feeder System - What Are Your Thoughts On The Anti-Guru Backlash?

There have been a rash of launches once again over the past couple of weeks and no doubt many of you have been receiving plenty of offers. We often get asked by members at Portal Feeder “>Portal Feeder about products and whether they are worth buying.

The short answer is who knows! A member jumped on his high horse in the forum recently and brought up the recent anti-guru trend which has developed and is being used mainly by second tier marketers.

You know the ones - those who need to touch their readers buying senses by suggesting there is some sort of Masonic style conspiracy being perpetrated by the gurus to keep the good information to themselves and let the rest of the crowd share the scraps. Well, I for one always want to “pewk” everytime I’m pitched that line.

Conspiracy?

At PortalFeeder we encourage members to stay a true course. There are going to be times when you’ll see a product being launched that you’ll find interesting. Doubts of it’s legitimacy will soon pervade one’s thoughts but deep down, the marketing is too good to resist.

Sure, there are some marketers who could be regarded as a little unscrupulous but in the main, this them and us mentality that has pervaded internet marketing circles is no different than work office politics.

I for one hated the backstabbing and gossip that went on in my profession as a journalist and the only thing it ever did was actually hold people back from achieving higher status and money within their field.

And the truth is, if you start to participate in this kind of environment and join the “us” crowd when deep down, you really want to be with “them” then your business will be what suffers.

Forget whether the gurus are out to keep your head under water and focus on your own goals. And resist the temptation to want to be everyone’s friend - do this and what is known as “timid marketing” will creep into your business.

It’s Your Decision

So whether to buy a particular product or not? If you think it’s a internet marketing system that fits your business model and more importantly, you will use it, then you should be independent enough to make your own decision.

Personally, I like the 24 HOUR RULE. If you can’t utilize the product within the next 24 hours, don’t buy it. It is all about staying focused on your plan.

I follow a simple rule - I learn from those who are achieving the type of income levels I want to achieve. In other words, would you rather have advice from a stockbroker’s assistant who’s making $40K a year or the stockbroker themselves who’s earning six figures a year?
