Portal Feeder Review - How To Develop A Steely Resolve Online

How do you handle the obstacles thrown in your path on a weekly basis. Let’s face it, if you are still trying to get your internet marketing business off the ground and producing that green stuff but seem convinced you’re not meant to succeed then it may be time to toughen up.

Here’s the truth - the gurus have just as many obstacles thrown in their paths if not more, than you do. Do you think they walk around feeling sorry for themselves? Not at all. They move on quickly and virtually get creative.

I want to touch a little on the obstacles thrown in our path in this business. It’s amazing but as soon as you think you’re on top of things, something comes out of left field to unsettle you or drag you back into the mire.

Handling Internet Marketing’s Obstacles

Here’s what happened to me recently. I had my main Digg account suspended. My actual page had built to a page rank of three. I had built up a list of hundreds of friends and was becoming an authority in this particular niche. In fact, rarely did I digg something that didn’t receive at least half a dozen comments. Then, with the push of a button, it was gone!

Now a year ago I would have probably admitted myself for psychiatric attention because it would have been devastating. It’s funny, today I almost didn’t give a s@%*. My reaction was “oh well, it was nice while it lasted but I’ll just open up another account.” And that’s what I did.

The point I’m trying to make is when obstacles are thrown in our path, they will either defeat you or strengthen your resolve. Make sure it’s the latter because if you don’t, success in this business will continue to be a pipedream.

Devastating?

Here’s what most would do and what I would have done 12 months ago. I would have tried to analyze the situation…

- why was my account suspended?
- the shame of it all
- I feel like a criminal
- what did I do wrong?
- what about all the work I put into it?
- what do I do now?

The only question I asked was the first one and I figured maybe I pushed the boundaries too much. All it takes is one complaint and that’s probably what happened. I didn’t even bother to contact their support to try and get an explanation. But Digg is not my business.

It’s just a tool I use to help build and promote it and it doesn’t take long to get back on the horse and start a new account.

This is what a steely resolve is all about. Forget over-analyzing and just push through any hiccup you encounter. And when social media sites are concerned, don’t let an account suspension unsettle you and throw you off course.

They are free which means they are dispensable and each time you have an account closed, learn something from it which is usually how far you can push the limits.

It’s one of the things we teach with a PortalFeeder membership. Just because someone makes more money than you online it doesn’t mean they don’t have to deal with major obstacles.

PortalFeeder’s Boot Camp Taking Members Out Of Their Comfort Zones

Boot camps are a great way to get down and dirty and improve one’s life whether it’s in a physical sense or financial sense.

Many of PortalFeeder’s members have spent the past few weeks doing exactly that participating in a boot camp designed to set them up in the tough world of affiliate marketing.

Know how is a major component of the boot camp which incorporates using a WordPress blog to target affiliate marketing and make it pay. As one of the coaches in the course, I’ve found it interesting watching several members coming to terms with the camp and mastering some of the techniques.

For someone with very little experience online it can be tough getting over the initial learning curve and that’s exactly what we’ve seen during this exercise.

Before members were put through their paces, the course was tested with a select group of people and several had success. As always, one cannot guarantee success in this type of exercise because people’s determination, learning and choice of topic levels are different.

But the aim of the boot camp was not so much to see initial success but more to give those involved the grounding to set up future campaigns with the right knowledge and know how.

The crux of the matter is, being successful as an affiliate is not difficult once you know how and once the boot camp is over you can be rest assured, the majority of members will know how.

Yes, it’s been tough and taken most out of their comfort zones but that’s one of the keys to being successful online and taking people out of their comfort zones is something PortalFeeder does extremely well.

We’ll keep you posted on the outcome.
